China Ministry of Water Resources recently sent tender invitation to the market for video surveillance system along over thousand KMs` Yangtze River, in order to monitor illegal sand extraction activities.
For the limited work force along the busiest river, illegal sand extraction can easily avoid punishment by shifting their extracting position and time. China Ministry of Water Resources prepared up to 10.23 million RMB for the video system.
It is reported that the system will cover 25 parts which were highly threatened by illegal sand extraction across 8 provinces. The bid will close on 1st June, and the installation date has not been released.
